DDA SFS flats of Sector-3 are in a deplorable condition. Grit wash on walls is falling and roofs and stairs have developed cracks.
General secretary of RWA of the society SK Bhardwaj says, "Our society was constructed in 1997 and since then nothing has been done for the maintenance of flats by DDA. We have a total of 384 flats and plaster in all of them is falling. We have informed DDA officials from bottom to top but have not got a satisfactory response. Vice-president Madhuri Varshney says, "The falling of grit wash poses grave danger and on many occasions residents have narrowly escaped. Cars and PVC tanks have been smashed many times. Our protracted correspondence and meetings with DDA officials have failed to yield any concrete solution. In fact, a DDA site office is located in our society and Authority officials themselves are eyewitness to these damages. Is DDA waiting for an untoward incident to take up this issue seriously?" President of RWA, Dr. P R Kumar says, "Residents are not satisfied with the working of DDA and always question what is the need of having a site office in our society when our problems remain unsolved".
DDA chief engineer SR Solanki says, "Survey is being done in the city for repairing of DDA flats. If the problems of grit wash falling is there, it would be taken into concern and the work would be done in the next couple of months."
