Residents of DDA SFS flats Sector 5 Pocket 1 have been facing a major scarcity of water for more than a week. RWA of the society says that water supply does not come in evening and the supply in morning is inadequate.President of RWA BK Sharma informs, "There is only one UGR for water supply in our pocket which is in Sector 4. From that UGR water is supplied to sectors 4, 3, 5, 11 and residents of nearly 759 flats are a totally dependent on that single UGR. Then how is it possible to get adequate water. We have requested the authority several times to make alternative arrangements. If they are not able to provide water now what would be the situation in mid-summer?" RWA representatives of sectors 5 and 11 visited DDA chief engineer's office at Manglapri and apprised him about their problem. "He has given us assurance but when we will get rid of water crisis is still a big question," says Shukla.
